Guwahati, 06 October (HS): Personnel of the 1st Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, have been commended for their dedicated and professional service during the Morigaon and Nagaon Lok Sabha by-elections.

Deployed across the two constituencies on the directions of the Government of India, SSB personnel from all companies of the battalion performed election duties under the supervision of Second-in-Command and Officiating Commandant Kh. Ibochouba Singh.

The personnel maintained a high level of discipline, alertness and professionalism while ensuring law and order and contributing to the peaceful, free and fair conduct of polling.

Despite challenging and sensitive circumstances, the SSB personnel carried out their responsibilities with commitment and sincerity, playing an important role in strengthening security arrangements during the electoral process.

Ibochouba Singh appreciated the dedication and devotion to duty demonstrated by the deployed personnel and described their performance as highly commendable. He said their contribution to the service of the nation and democracy would remain worthy of respect and appreciation.
