
New Delhi, 06 October (H.S.): The Supreme Court on Tuesday got three new judges, with Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant administering the oath of office to them. The three judges sworn in as judges of the Supreme Court are Justice Sunita Agarwal, Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh.
President Droupadi Murmu approved the appointment of the three judges to the Supreme Court on Monday. Prior to this, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their elevation on September 28. With a sanctioned strength of 38 judges, the Supreme Court now has 37 judges following the swearing-in of the three new judges.
