
New Delhi, 06 October (H.S.): Train services will be affected on October 9 and 10 due to yard remodelling work at Mathura Junction (Phase II) and Bhuteshwar stations on the Palwal-Mathura Junction section under the Agra Division of North Central Railway. While some trains will remain fully cancelled, several others will be diverted. Some services will be short-terminated or short-originated at intermediate stations, while several trains will operate with delays.
According to Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, the technical work is being undertaken to facilitate the smooth operation of the up, down, third and fourth lines at the Mathura yard. The temporary changes in train operations have been made to ensure passenger safety and maintain orderly rail services during the work.
On October 10, Train Nos. 01941 Agra Cantt-Palwal and 01942 Palwal-Agra Cantt Daily Specials will remain fully cancelled.
Also on October 10, Train No. 09310 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Indore will operate via Hazrat Nizamuddin-Ghaziabad-Mitawali-Agra Fort-Bayana and will not halt at Mathura or Bharatpur. Train No. 22868 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Durg will run via Ghaziabad-Mitawali-Agra Cantt and will not have a scheduled halt at Mathura.
Train No. 11078 Jammu Tawi-Pune will operate via New Delhi-Ghaziabad-Mitawali-Agra Cantt on October 9. Consequently, its scheduled halts at Faridabad, Mathura and Raja Ki Mandi will be affected.
Train No. 20424 Firozpur Cantt-Seoni will operate via Delhi Safdarjung-Ghaziabad-Mitawali-Agra Cantt on October 10.
Train No. 18478 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Puri will operate via Meerut City-Khurja-Mitawali-Agra Cantt and will not halt at Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Faridabad, Kosi Kalan, Mathura or Raja Ki Mandi.
Train No. 12190 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Jabalpur will operate via Ghaziabad-Mitawali-Agra Cantt on October 10. Its halts at Ballabhgarh, Palwal, Kosi Kalan and Mathura will consequently be affected.
Train No. 20807 Visakhapatnam-Amritsar will operate via Agra Cantt-Mitawali-Ghaziabad-New Delhi on October 9 and will not pass through Mathura or Hazrat Nizamuddin.
Several trains will also be partially operated because of the yard remodelling work. Train No. 20489 Barmer-Mathura will operate only up to Govardhan instead of Mathura on October 9, while Train No. 20490 Mathura-Barmer will originate from Govardhan on October 10.
Train Nos. 64016 Shakurbasti-Mathura and 64019 Mathura-Shakurbasti will operate only up to Palwal on October 10.
Train Nos. 64904 Ghaziabad-Mathura and 64910 Shakurbasti-Mathura will operate up to Kosi Kalan. Meanwhile, Train Nos. 64903 Mathura-Ghaziabad and 64905 Mathura-Shakurbasti will originate from Kosi Kalan on October 11.
Train Nos. 64073 Dhaulpur-New Delhi and 64074 New Delhi-Dhaulpur will also be short-terminated and short-originated at Kosi Kalan on October 10.
The Railways has also rescheduled certain trains. Train No. 12060 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Kota will depart 120 minutes late on October 10, while Train No. 22209 Mumbai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin will depart 150 minutes late on October 9.
Train No. 12716 Amritsar-Nanded will be regulated for up to 120 minutes between Amritsar and Sahnewal on October 10.
In addition, between October 4 and 9, several trains, including Amritsar-Indore (19326), Jammu Tawi-Pune (11078), Firozpur Cantt-Seoni (20424), Bhiwani-Mathura (14725), Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Puri (18478), Hazrat Nizamuddin-Kota (12060), Amritsar-Nanded (12716) and Hazrat Nizamuddin-Jabalpur (12190), as well as several trains operating to and from Hazrat Nizamuddin from Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Kanyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram, will be regulated by 10 to 110 minutes within the North Central Railway system.
On October 9 and 10, Train No. 12707 Tirupati-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Train No. 12803 Visakhapatnam-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Train No. 14318 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-LMNAR and Train No. 16032 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Chennai Central will also be regulated by 20 to 65 minutes.
