New Delhi, 06 October (H.S.):

The Department of Posts (DoP) will organise National Postal Week 2026 from October 9 to 15. The week-long celebration will commence on October 9 with the observance of World Post Day.

According to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the central theme of World Post Day this year will be “World Post Day: One Postal Network, Infinite Possibilities.” The theme seeks to highlight the Department’s efforts to make postal services more convenient, accessible and responsive to the evolving needs of citizens.

According to the Department, post offices are being transformed into modern and inclusive service centres through initiatives such as “N-Gen Post Offices” and “Jan Seva Connect Post Offices.” At the same time, digital platforms such as the “Dak Seva App” and “Dak Mitra App” are making postal services more accessible to the general public. The week will showcase India Post’s role in advancing financial inclusion, digital empowerment and innovation.

Special programmes will be organised on each day of the celebrations. These will include World Post Day on October 9, Fun with Philately Day on October 12, Financial Inclusion and CCS Day on October 13, Post and Parcel Day on October 14, and Technology and Innovation Day on October 15.

National Postal Week 2026 will provide an opportunity to celebrate the rich historical legacy of India Post while showcasing it as a technology-enabled, citizen-centric and future-ready network equipped to meet the evolving needs of the country.
