Guwahati, 06 October (HS): Assam’s Asian Games gold medallist Lovlina Borgohain has called upon the younger generation to choose the right path and work for the welfare of the country and society.

In a media interaction, Borgohain said she was not sure about the exact age group or scope covered by the term “Gen-Z”. She, however, stressed the importance of following the guidance of parents and elders and making responsible choices in life.

“We should take the right path and do something good for the country and society,” she said.

The celebrated boxer also urged the youth to come forward and contribute to nation-building. She said young people should focus on their work and avoid allowing emotions to dominate their decisions.

“The younger generation must come forward and work for the country. We have to remain focused on our work and should not give too much importance to emotions,” Borgohain said.

Borgohain, one of Assam’s prominent sportspersons, shared her views during the media interaction while reflecting on her journey, values and expectations from the younger generation.----------
