
New Delhi, 06 October (H.S.): Two people injured after an e-rickshaw skidded near Prembari Pul under the Ashok Vihar Traffic Circle in Delhi on Monday morning received timely medical treatment after two traffic police personnel on duty promptly came to their assistance and arranged an auto-rickshaw to take them to hospital. Their timely arrival at the hospital ensured that both injured persons received immediate treatment.
According to the traffic police, the accident occurred at around 10:05 am on Monday. An e-rickshaw was travelling from Prembari Pul towards Azadpur when the driver suddenly lost control, causing the vehicle to skid on the road. In the accident, 38-year-old Mohammad Asif and a 20-year-old woman sustained serious injuries.
At the time of the accident, Sub-Inspector (SI) Ramesh Chand and Head Constable Manish, who were posted with the Ashok Vihar Traffic Circle, were performing their duties at Prembari Pul. As soon as the accident occurred, both personnel immediately rushed to the spot.
Considering the critical condition of the injured, the two policemen promptly arranged an auto-rickshaw and sent both victims to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital in Ashok Vihar. Doctors at the hospital immediately provided them with emergency medical treatment.
Officials said the two personnel not only discharged their duties with dedication but also demonstrated exceptional humanitarian sensitivity, bringing credit to the image of the Delhi Police.
