Guwahati, 06 October (HS): The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday alleged that BJP workers deployed school students at several polling stations in Morigaon Assembly constituency to distribute party campaign leaflets and voter slips during polling for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election.

APCC media department chairman Bedabrata Bora alleged that students of PM Shri Morigaon Girls Higher Secondary School were used for distributing campaign material carrying BJP candidate Devashish Sharma’s election symbol. He termed the alleged act a violation of Election Commission guidelines and child protection norms.

The Congress urged the Election Commission, Chief Electoral Officer of Assam and district administration to take immediate action against those responsible.------------
