Kolkata, 06 October (H.S.) : Bharatiya Janata Party leader Debajit Sarkar on Tuesday asserted that the party is poised for an overwhelming victory in the ongoing assembly by-elections across Rejinagar and Nandigram.

Speaking to reporters regarding voter turnout and electoral prospects, Sarkar stated that electors are fully cognizant of their choices and the necessity of good governance. Maintaining that the state has no viable developmental alternative outside the BJP, he noted that the politically conscious electorate of Bengal is turning out in large numbers to ensure an emphatic mandate.

Launching a scathing attack on opposition parties, Sarkar claimed that the opposition has lost its ground reality and popular support, reducing itself to issuing reactionary statements. He argued that after decades of misrule, the people of Bengal have comprehensively rejected and penalised both previous administrative regimes that governed the state for thirty-four years and fifteen years respectively.
