Hyderabad, 05 October (H.S.): The schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana is likely to remain unchanged, with no further extension expected, as the claims and objections process in the state is set to conclude on October 7.

During the claims and objections period, voters can apply for enrolment, correction of electoral details and objections to the inclusion of ineligible names in the draft electoral roll.

Those whose names are missing from the draft list or who wish to enrol as new voters can submit Form 6, while Form 8 can be used for correction of entries in the electoral roll. Objections to the inclusion of ineligible names can be filed through Form 7.

The notice period will continue until November 5. Under the latest guidelines of the Election Commission of India, Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) will visit the residences of electors whose names are listed in the unmapped category or whose data has anomalies to collect the required documents.

The documents submitted by electors will be examined by the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), who will determine the eligibility of the voters.

The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on November 9.
