Guwahati, 05 October (HS): Reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision to deny bail to Shyamkanu Mahanta in the Zubeen Garg death case, singer Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima Saikia Garg said the development reflected the strength of the collective prayers of the people of Assam and expressed confidence that truth would ultimately prevail.
“God’s blessings and the strength of the collective prayers of the Assamese people — this is the result. Truth will always prevail,” Garima said in a social media post.
She also said that the court’s decision had further strengthened her faith in the country’s judicial system. “Our faith in the justice system of our country has become even stronger today,” she wrote.
