
Lucknow, 5 Oct (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored Rani Durgavati on her 502nd birth anniversary (commemorated on October 5, 2026), lauding the 16th-century queen as an emblem of remarkable
female power, bravery,
and dedication to the dignity of
the country. CM Yogi Adityanath posted on X that her bravery and
sacrifice will inspire future generations and ignite the 'Nation First' spirit.
CM Yogi emphasized her heritage as a descendant of the Chandela dynasty (born at Kalinjar Fort in Banda
district of Uttar Pradesh, while also pointing
out her significance as a legendary queen of Gondwana. In November 2024, CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a statue of Rani Durgavati at the Government Medical College in
Banda, which bears her name.
On the birth anniversary of the great warrior queen Rani
Durgavati, a descendant of the Chandela dynasty who offered her all for the
defense of the motherland with her indomitable courage, valor, and patriotism,
humble tribute. Her valor and sacrifice are a symbol of the extraordinary power
of maternal strength, which serves as an inspiration for us all.
