Prayagraj, 5 Oct (HS): Senior BJP leader

Radhakant Ojha, a senior advocate of the Allahabad High Court and former

president of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, has been declared a

candidate for the 2026 Rajya Sabha biennial elections by the BJP Central

Election Committee. The list of candidates was released by the organization's

Central Election Committee on Monday. Upon receiving the information, Radhakant

Ojha first went to the Sangh office and then to the BJP office in Civil Lines,

where BJP Kashi Region Vice President Awadhesh Chandra Gupta and Metropolitan

President Sanjay Gupta, along with party workers, gave him a grand welcome and

congratulated him.

Addressing the media, Radhakant Ojha said that he has been a

booth-level worker of the BJP organization and has always fulfilled the

responsibilities given to him with honesty. Upon being nominated for the Rajya

Sabha, Radhakant Ojha thanked the organization's top leadership, saying that

the BJP is the only party where an ordinary worker can reach a high

organizational position. He will make every effort to live up to the party's

trust in him and will contest the 2027 elections with full strength and achieve

victory. He said that BJP workers never shy away from responsibility. He too

has never backed down from any task assigned by the organization. The

organization sees every worker as someone who gets what they deserve. Advocates

will always stand with the interests of BJP workers. Dr. Shailesh Pandey,

Vikramjeet Singh Bhadauria, Anand Sonkar, Pramod Modi, Deep Dwivedi, Rajesh

Gond, Pawan Srivastava, Vivek Mishra, Shubham Singh, Dilip Chaurasia, Ajay

Singh, and other advocates were present.
