Guwahati, 05 October (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday attended a charity tea auction organised at the Assam Tea Auction Centre in Guwahati.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarma said tea from Assam as well as Darjeeling had been included in the auction. He said the auction was being organised in this format at the centre for the first time since 2012.

The Chief Minister said the entire amount collected through the charity auction would be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He said the initiative would contribute to the relief fund while also highlighting the importance and value of tea produced in the region.----------
