Mumbai, 05 October (H.S.): Actress Alia Bhatt and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali are set to collaborate once again, with the duo reportedly exploring a revival of the long-delayed film Inshallah. The project was first announced in 2019 with Salman Khan, but was subsequently shelved. The story and screenplay are now reportedly being substantially reworked, with plans to present the film in a contemporary and refreshed format.

Bhansali is reportedly reworking the story before finalising the cast, raising the possibility of several new faces joining the project. Salman Khan is currently occupied with his other projects, while Shah Rukh Khan has also not given his final confirmation for the film. As a result, the makers may also be considering younger actors. However, no official announcement has yet been made regarding the film’s revised cast.

Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali previously collaborated on Gangubai Kathiawadi, which received a strong response from both audiences and critics. Their upcoming film Love & War is also among the much-anticipated projects, featuring Alia alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Alia’s previous film, Alpha, did not perform at the box office as expected. Against this backdrop, anticipation among fans is reportedly high over the possibility of her next collaboration with Bhansali.
