Bhadohi, 4 Oct (HS): At
the event organized in the district of Bhadohi for the inauguration of the
Golden Jubilee edition of India Carpet Expo and for dialogue with exporters,
sellers, and key entrepreneurs of the carpet industry, UP CM explicitly stated,
“Bhadohi will now be known in the name of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in
Bhadohi on Sunday to inaugurate the four-day 50th International Carpet Expo. On
this occasion, he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 112 development
projects worth Rs 1340 crore. These included the inauguration of 65 projects
worth Rs 440.84 crore and the foundation stone laying of 47 projects worth Rs
899.27 crore. Along with this, Chief Minister Yogi announced to rename Bhadohi
district as Sant Ravidas Nagar. He made this announcement while expressing
respect towards Sant Ravidas Ji Maharaj. The district was earlier named Sant
Ravidas Nagar during the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government, which was later
changed back to Bhadohi by the Samajwadi Party (SP) government.
Addressimg the gathering, UP CM said, “Between Lucknow and
Hardoi, we have swiftly advanced the construction work of an integrated textile
park spanning 1,000 acres. Uttar Pradesh is rapidly progressing towards making
the country the number-1 economy. We have provided the facility of single window
clearance, the advantage of Invest Friend, Invest Guide, and Entrepreneur
Friend policies is also available here with us. More than 35,000 large factories
are now with UP today. Today, Bhadohi's art is also generating employment,
increasing exports, providing opportunities to the youth, and giving Bhadohi a
global identity as well. For Bhadohi, we have made the carpet industry itself a
part of the 'One District-One Product'.”
In the program organized for the inauguration and foundation
stone laying of 112 development projects costing more than Rs. 1,340 crore in
the Bhadohi, Aurai, and Gyanpur assembly constituencies, UP CM said, “Bhadohi's
Kashi Naresh PG College has been granted recognition as a 'university'. Anyone
who disrupts the jobs of young people will be jailed and their property will be
confiscated. Those who threaten the safety of daughters and businessmen will be
led to jail and hell. The double-engine government has worked to develop
pilgrimage sites while preserving heritage and honoring faith. Development does
not happen unilaterally. That is precisely why the esteemed Prime Minister Shri
@narendramodiji said- 'Together with all, development for all'. Bhadohi will
now be known in the name of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.”
“Today, in Bhadohi district, the golden jubilee edition of
Asia's largest international handcrafted carpet trade fair, 'India Carpet
Expo', was inaugurated. On this occasion, a dialogue was also held with
exporters, sellers, and key entrepreneurs associated with the carpet industry. The
hands that have woven carpets for centuries should also embrace new technology
and new designs. Our government has initiated efforts to recognize the skills,
art, and dedication of artisans. Following that, they gained access to markets
as well as designs. Heartfelt congratulations to all those associated with the
glorious 50-year journey of 'India Carpet Expo', and heartfelt best wishes to
the exporters, sellers, entrepreneurs, artisans, and handicrafters,” UP CM
remarked in a post on X.
