
Guwahati, 04 October (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said the state government remains committed to dismantling cattle theft and smuggling networks across the state.
In a social media post, Sarma said police conducted operations on Saturday in the jurisdictions of Fakirganj, Gauripur, Dhubri and Bilasipara police stations and successfully rescued 24 cattle along with a boat.
The Chief Minister said the operations were part of continued action against cattle theft and illegal smuggling. He asserted that there would be no leniency towards crime and criminals in Assam.-----------
