
Bhubaneswar, 04 October (H.S.): BJP Odisha in-charge and national vice-president D. Purandeswari said on Sunday that India is moving rapidly towards building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, guided by the principles of service and development.
Purandeswari made the remarks while attending the ‘Namo Seva Gatha–Street Play’ programme at Jamukoli near Jatni in Khordha district. She praised the initiative to take the government’s welfare schemes and development programmes to the people through street plays.
She said the BJP organisation in Odisha is being further strengthened under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the leadership of party national president Nitin Nabin, with emphasis on greater public outreach and better coordination among party workers.
During her two-day Odisha visit, Purandeswari and BJP Odisha co-in-charge Dr. Swadesh Singh held meetings with state office-bearers, district presidents and in-charges, and convenors of various party cells. They also held discussions with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and members of his Council of Ministers on coordination between the government and organisation, upcoming programmes and strengthening the party at the grassroots.
BJP Odisha president Manmohan Samal and state general secretary (organisation) Manas Kumar Mohanty were among those present at the meetings. Before leaving for Delhi, Purandeswari and Dr. Singh visited the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar and sought the blessings of Lord Lingaraj.
