Lucknow, Oct 31 (HS): In

his formal address and tribute to National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas),

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath consistently emphasized that the

strength of the nation lies in its unity. He noted that the ultimate power of

this unity is enshrined in the core spirit of 'Nation First. On National Unity

Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), which commemorates the birth anniversary of India's

Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Chief Minister emphasized the

commitment of the double-engine government to reform the state and country.

He asserted that his government exemplifies the underlying

motto of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas', which rejects politics

based on appeasement, casteism, and nepotism while promoting social peace

across all communities. The Chief Minister encourages inhabitants to transcend

beyond regional, religious, and caste differences through activities like the

yearly 'Run for Unity'. He believes that maintaining Sardar Patel's

irreplaceable heritage is inextricably linked to accomplishing the common goal

of 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat'—building a safe, culturally rich, and

completely integrated nation.

CM Yogi routinely kicks off the Run for Unity marathon

activities in Lucknow and across Uttar Pradesh on National Unity Day (October

31), which commemorates the birth anniversary and legacy of India's Iron Man,

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He emphasized that since 2014, these events have

bolstered national unity, patriotism, and the goal of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha

Bharat. Yogi Adityanath routinely promotes the ideas of Run for

Unity (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) and Nation First, Always First

(Rashtra Pratham) during national observances and political events.

In a post on X, he stated, “It is the sacred duty of every

Indian to preserve unscathed the national unity for which 'Bharat Ratna' Iron

Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ji devoted his entire life. However, prior to the

year 2017, politics of appeasement, casteism, and nepotism in Uttar Pradesh

worked to divide society and weakened the spirit of national unity, thereby

striking a blow to social harmony. Under the illustrious guidance of the

Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji, the Double Engine Government has

transformed this situation. We have strengthened social harmony by making the

spirit of 'Nation First' and the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka

Vishwas' the foundation of good governance, and have linked the invaluable

legacy of the revered Sardar Patel ji with the resolve of 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha

Bharat'.”

“This very resolve finds a collective opportunity to be

infused into the consciousness and conduct of every individual—through the 'Run

for Unity' organized on the birth anniversary of the revered Sardar Patel ji

and 'National Unity Day'. Let us participate in this 'Unity Run'. May every

step of ours become a symbol of dedication to the nation's indivisibility and

an unwavering resolve of 'Nation First, Always First',” he added prior to

signing off.
