New Delhi, 31 October (H.S.): Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country's largest carmaker, has achieved a major milestone as the cumulative production of its popular sedan, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, has crossed 3.5 million units.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the company announced that the Dzire had crossed the 3.5-million production mark. Manufactured at the company's Manesar facility, the sedan achieved this milestone over a period of approximately 18 years and nine months.

Commenting on the achievement, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, The cumulative production of 3.5 million units is a significant milestone in the journey of the Dzire.

He added, Along with expanding our manufacturing capabilities, we remain committed to delivering world-class quality and ensuring customer satisfaction in India and global markets.

It is noteworthy that, apart from the Dzire, Maruti Suzuki models such as the Alto, Swift and WagonR have also crossed the 3.5-million-unit production milestone.
