'Shri Mandir' app to accelerate Yogi government's grand

resolution to light 3 million lamps; a unique initiative connecting global

devotees for fifth consecutive year.

Priests will take pledges in names of devotees, and proof of lamp offerings

will be shared via video recording

Akhand Ramayana recitation, Brahmin service and Maha-Annadan for over 5k people

will also be organised

Lucknow, Oct 31 (HS): In the 10th

edition of the historic 'Deepotsav-2026' to be held in the holy city of

Ayodhya, the abode of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, a unique coordination

of digital technology is being seen to directly connect crores of Sanatan

devotees sitting in the country and abroad. Amidst the grand target of lighting

30 lakh lamps on 56 ghats of the holy Saryu river by the Uttar Pradesh

government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, India's leading

digital religious platform 'Shri Mandir' app is participating in this grand

event by getting 1 lakh lamps lit on behalf of the devotees.

Under this initiative, which is being organised for the 5th consecutive year,

devotees sitting in any corner of the world will be able to offer the lamp of

their faith at the feet of Lord Shri Ram at the historic Rajdwar of Ayodhya.

Devotees can choose to offer 1, 5, 11 or 21 lamps through the 'Shri Mandir'

app. As soon as the devotee selects the option of offering lamps, the learned

priests present at the Rajdwar of Ayodhya will take a formal resolution in the

name and gotra of the concerned devotee and the lamp will be lit with full

Vedic decorum. To maintain the faith and transparency of devotees, the entire

process will be video recorded and later shared directly with the devotees via

digital medium. Each lamp will symbolize the devotion, faith, and well-wishes

of devotees worldwide dedicated to the feet of Lord Shri Ram.

On this auspicious festival of Deepotsav, the scope of religious rituals will

not be limited to lighting of lamps only, but many special events are being

organized on this occasion through Shri Mandir App. Akhand Ramayana Path will

be organized to remember the life ideals of Maryada Purushottam and the learned

Acharyas and Brahmins will be worshipped and served as per the rituals. Along

with this, under Annadan, which is considered as Mahadaan in Sanatan Dharma,

arrangements for a huge feast and food for more than five thousand saints,

devotees and the needy are being ensured on the occasion of Deepotsav.

Referring to technology bridging the geographical distance between faith and

pilgrimage sites, Shri Mandir's Founder and CEO Prashant Sachan said that he

firmly believes that geographical distance should not be a barrier between a

devotee's faith and the sacred pilgrimage site of their deity. He further

stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar

Pradesh government is establishing the Ayodhya Deepotsav and Indian cultural

heritage on the global stage with such grandeur, and it is a great privilege

for him to contribute as a partner. It is his responsibility to ensure that the

sacred resolve of every Ram devotee across the world reaches Ayodhya, and that

every lamp in his name is lit with full rituals, devotion, and respect.

It is noteworthy that with over 40 million downloads, the Shri

Mandir app provides online services such as puja, seva, offerings, and

prasad distribution at over 100 major temples across the country. This

initiative will also enable elderly, unwell, and devotees living in distant

countries who are unable to physically attend the Ayodhya Deepotsav to

experience the spiritual benefits of the festival.
