Lucknow, Oct 30 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 24th

installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) from

Banaskantha, Gujarat, on Friday. This amounted to Rs. 18,690 crore

(approximately $1.8 billion) being transferred to the accounts of over 93.4 million

farmers across the country. Over 22.4 million farmers in Uttar Pradesh

benefited from this, receiving Rs. 4,482.19 crore (approximately $1.4 billion)

in their accounts. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on Twitter expressing

his gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of farmers for this gift before

Diwali.

Rs. 2,000 came into the bank

account of every farmer: The amount of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is

transferred directly to the beneficiary's account through DBT. It provides

financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year to one member of an eligible farmer

family in three installments of Rs. 2,000 each. Prime Minister Narendra Modi

launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on February 24, 2019,

from Gorakhpur.

prosperity of villages. With this very resolve, today, the honorable Prime

Minister Shri @narendramodi ji has directly transferred more than Rs. 18,690

crore as honorarium to the bank accounts of over 9.34 crore farmers across the

country under the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi

from Banaskantha in Gujarat. As a result, more than 2.24 crore farmer brothers

and sisters in Uttar Pradesh have also benefited.

The double-engine government is

working with full commitment to bring positive changes in the lives of our

food-provider farmer brothers, to increase their income, and to reduce the cost

of farming.On behalf of all farmer brothers and sisters of Uttar Pradesh,

heartfelt thanks to you, Prime Minister ji, for this gift received just before

Diwali,” UP CM mentioned in a post on X.

After the release of Rs 4482.19

crore on Friday, farmers of Uttar Pradesh have so far received Rs 1 lakh 7

thousand 943.95 crore in the form of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
