Mumbai, 30 October (H.S.): ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’, featuring Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu in lead roles, has begun streaming on OTT with an extended cut, giving audiences an opportunity to revisit the popular crime-drama franchise with additional footage.

Following the success of three seasons of the ‘Mirzapur’ web series, the makers brought its gripping narrative to the big screen. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film was released theatrically on September 4 and reportedly grossed approximately Rs 339 crore worldwide. It is now available to viewers on Prime Video, allowing them to watch the film from the comfort of their homes.

The film has premiered on Amazon Prime Video, the same platform on which all three seasons of the original series are also available. Produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the action-crime drama carries forward the power struggle over Purvanchal’s criminal empire and political influence. Amid a relentless battle for authority, revenge and supremacy, familiar characters return, bringing their distinctive personalities and rivalries back to the screen.

Ali Fazal reprises his role as Guddu Pandit, while Divyenndu returns as Munna Tripathi. Pankaj Tripathi once again portrays the formidable Kaleen Bhaiya. Jitendra Kumar appears as Bablu Pandit, while Ravi Kishan also plays a significant role in the narrative.

The release of the extended cut on OTT offers fans an opportunity to experience the world of ‘Mirzapur’ in a more expansive format, with additional scenes that were not part of the theatrical version.
