Chhatrapati
Sambhajinagar, 30 Oct (HS): MIM leader and former MP Imtiaz Jaleel has received
threat on his life. A letter threatening him was delivered at his office saying
he could be killed any time.
The letter claimed
that the ‘Supari’ (Contract) to kill him has been given to a youth from
Ahilyanagar. The name and address of the youth has also been mentioned in the
letter.
Jaleel handed
over the letter to the police, which started enquiry about the mastermind
behind issuing the threat and veracity of the letter.
Reacting to the
threat, Jaleel said, such incidents occur many times after entering politics.
Threats are issued through phone or letters. The objective of such threats is
to keep silence and refrain from talking against the government and ruling
leaders. He further said that he will continue to raise voice any wrong doing
by the government.
