
Pune, Oct 3 (IANS): The Engineering Cluster, Pune,
has organised a six-month free offline technical training for women with an aim
to provide women with the technical skills required for making employment
opportunities in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
The Director of the Institute, Sagar Shinde, providing
the information said that the third batch of training titled 'Industrial ASPIRA
- Advance Certification in CNC Operation, Design and Quality Control' has been
conducted in collaboration with CSR by La Foundation Dassault Systemes, Pune.
The training will be completely free of cost and accommodation and food
facilities will also be provided free of cost to the selected five trainees
from rural areas. This training includes CNC programming and operation, design,
quality control, manufacturing, soft skills, industrial visits, demonstration
training, as well as on-the-job training.
Women who have passed at least 12th standard and are
between 18 and 25 years of age can apply for the training. On successful
completion of the training, placement support will be provided to create job
opportunities in engineering and manufacturing industries in and around Pune. The
third batch has been organised against the backdrop of the experience of the
first two batches.
Sagar Shinde has appealed to women who want to make
a career in the technical field to take advantage of this training opportunity.
