Bhubaneswar, 03 October (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a cash award of ₹11 lakh each for the players and ₹5.5 lakh each for the support staff of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team following their historic gold medal victory at the Asian Games 2026.

Congratulating the team on its outstanding achievement, the Chief Minister praised the players for their exceptional performance, determination and commitment, which have brought immense pride to the nation.

The Odisha Government reiterated its commitment to promoting hockey and supporting sporting talent, stating that it will continue to provide encouragement and support to nurture sporting excellence in the country.
