
North Central Railway creates history at double pace of
development: Achieves Railway Board's annual scrap sales target in just 6
months, setting new record for FY 2026–27
Prayagraj, 3 Oct (HS): North Central Railway has achieved an
unprecedented and historic milestone in the financial year 2026-27. The annual
revenue/scrap disposal target of Rs. 285.00 crores allocated to North Central
Railway by the Railway Board has been successfully achieved in just a six-month
period by achieving Rs. 286.79 crores.
North Central Railway achieved this remarkable success as a
result of the able direction of General Manager Naresh Pal Singh, along with
the efficient guidance and precise strategies of Principal Chief Materials
Manager S.P. Dwivedi. Achievement of Annual Target in half the time:
Successfully achieved the annual target of Rs. 285.00 crore set by the Railway
Board within the first half of the financial year itself, creating a new
milestone.
Premises Safety and
Cleanliness: This swift and efficient management of unused assets and scrap has
not only yielded financial gains for the Railways, but has also significantly
contributed to making railway premises clean, safe, and scrap-free. This effort
directly accelerates the objectives of the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'.
The North Central Railway administration praised the
tireless efforts and commitment of the entire North Central Railway team for
