Mumbai, 03 October (H.S.): Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama ‘Maatrubhumi has been in the spotlight for some time over its release. Following a change in title, reactions to its teaser and several postponements, fresh information about the film has now emerged. According to reports, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting approved the film’s revised version and issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) last week. The new version is said to be substantially different from the original storyline and also portrays a positive aspect of India-China relations.

According to reports, the original storyline of ‘Maatrubhumi’ was set against the backdrop of the clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. The film reportedly faced difficulties in securing government clearance over its portrayal of China. According to the reports, following objections from the Ministry of Defence, certain portions of the film were modified and several sequences were reshot. A source claimed that the revised version presents India-China relations from a different perspective. However, these claims have not yet been officially confirmed by the makers.

The report also claims that November 13 has been set as the film’s new release date. Salman Khan and his team are reportedly preparing to bring the film to cinemas after Diwali. However, the film is still awaiting certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to reports, the producers will soon submit the film to the censor board. If the certificate is obtained this month, ‘Maatrubhumi’ could be released on November 13.

The final status of the film’s release is expected to become clearer over the next few days.
