Over Rs. 18,680 crore to be

transferred to bank accounts of 9.34 crore farmers across country

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had

launched PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi yojana from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, on

February 24, 2019

Lucknow, Oct 29 (HS): The Modi-Yogi governments are continuously taking steps to

ensure the prosperity of farmers, the providers of the nation's food. The

double-engine government is working across the agricultural value chain, while

also ensuring dignity and recognition for farmers.

In this direction, Prime Minister

Narendra Modi will release the 24th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi to

farmers on Friday from Banaskantha, Gujarat. With a single click by the Prime

Minister, more than Rs. 18,680 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts

of 9.34 crore farmers across the country.

Over 2.24 crore farmers in Uttar

Pradesh will benefit from the release, with Rs. 4,482.19 crore being

transferred directly to their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer

(DBT). Up to the 23rd instalment, a total of Rs. 1,03,461.76 crore has already

been transferred to the accounts of farmers in Uttar Pradesh under the PM-Kisan

Samman Nidhi scheme.

The 24th instalment of the

PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, to be released on Friday, will benefit over 2.24 crore

farmers in Uttar Pradesh. A total of Rs. 4,482.19 crore will be credited to

their accounts.

Under the scheme, financial

assistance is transferred directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts through DBT.

Eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 annually in

three instalments, with one eligible member of each family receiving the

benefit.

Earlier, in June 2026, Prime

Minister Narendra Modi had released the Samman Nidhi to farmers from West

Bengal. He had launched the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme from Gorakhpur, Uttar

Pradesh, on February 24, 2019.

Total amount to reach Rs. 1,07,943.95

crore: With the release of Rs. 4,482.19

crore on Friday, the total amount transferred to farmers in Uttar Pradesh under

the scheme will reach Rs. 1,07,943.95 crore.
