Delhi Metro Services to Run Until Midnight for Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Aura India Tour 2026’ Concert

New Delhi, 29 October (H.S.): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will extend metro services until midnight on Friday to facilitate the movement of spectators attending singer Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Aura India Tour 2026’ concert at Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium.

Under the arrangement, train services on all metro lines, except the Airport Express Line and Rapid Metro in Gurugram, will operate beyond their usual closing times, with services extended until midnight. The DMRC announced the decision in a statement issued on Thursday.

According to the corporation, additional trains will be deployed across the network to manage the movement of spectators after the concert concludes. Extra trains will also be kept on standby to meet any sudden surge in passenger numbers.

To accommodate the extended operating hours, the window for purchasing QR tickets through the DMRC mobile application, Delhi Metro Sarthi, will also be extended by one hour on Friday.

The DMRC has made special arrangements at JLN Stadium Metro Station and other key interchange stations to ensure the smooth entry and exit of concertgoers. Additional staff, customer service personnel and customer facilitation agents will be deployed to guide passengers and manage crowds.

Security arrangements will also be strengthened at JLN Stadium Metro Station, with additional security personnel deployed to improve passenger safety and convenience. Door-frame metal detectors will be installed, and security screening measures will be reinforced to ensure orderly passenger movement and compliance with security protocols.

Approximately 70,000 people are expected to attend the concert, with many likely to use the Delhi Metro to travel to and from the venue.

JLN Stadium Metro Station, located on the Violet Line corridor between Kashmere Gate and Raja Nahar Singh, is the closest metro station to the concert venue.

The extended services and additional crowd-management measures are intended to facilitate the safe and convenient movement of spectators during one of the capital’s major musical events.
