Hojai (Assam), 29 October (H.S.): A man was arrested with 4.088 kg of ganja during an anti-narcotics operation near Lanka Railway Station in Assam's Hojai district, police said on Thursday.

The ganja was recovered from a Bajaj electric rickshaw during the operation. The arrested man has been identified as Ganesh Das, who was driving and owning the e-rickshaw. He is a resident of the Lanka Railway Colony.

The operation was conducted by Lanka Police under the supervision of Lumding Sub-Divisional Superintendent of Police Plaban Nath. The police team intercepted the e-rickshaw and recovered packets containing the suspected contraband.
