Mumbai, 28 October (H.S.): Actor Yash shared his thoughts on Indian cinema, his roots and the enduring power of storytelling at the grand premiere of ‘Ramayana’ held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The event was attended by director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra and the film’s co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Yash arrived with his wife, Radhika Pandit, and received a warm welcome from fans.

The premiere aimed to showcase the Indian epic ‘Ramayana’ on a global platform and celebrate its rich cultural heritage.

During the event, Yash delivered a moving message, saying, “Where you begin in life never determines how far you can go.” After greeting the audience in Kannada, he expressed his pride in his mother tongue and in being part of the Indian film industry.

The actor emphasised that India does not merely tell stories; it preserves them and passes them down from one generation to the next. According to him, the ‘Ramayana’ has been an integral part of Indian culture and its storytelling tradition for thousands of years. He expressed hope that the film would carry the message of India’s rich heritage to audiences across the world.

Earlier, producer Namit Malhotra praised Yash’s contribution to the project, describing him not only as the film’s superstar but also as his production partner. Yash’s company, Monster Mind Creations, is a partner in the project. The actor’s involvement extends beyond his on-screen performance, as he is also playing a significant role in the film’s production.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being developed as a two-part cinematic spectacle that seeks to present the Indian epic through a contemporary filmmaking approach on a grand scale. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5.
