Mumbai, 28 October (H.S.): Musheer Khan produced a remarkable all-round performance in Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy 2026–27 clash against Haryana, creating a significant milestone in the city’s cricketing history. He became the first Mumbai player in the 21st century to score a century and take five wickets in the same first-class match. Before him, Ravi Shastri had achieved the feat against Madhya Pradesh during the 1990–91 season.

Musheer’s contributions with both bat and ball put Mumbai in a strong position in the contest. Batting first, he struck 109 off 185 deliveries, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 114 from 180 balls. Their centuries helped Mumbai post a formidable total of 430.

Musheer subsequently made an impact with the ball, claiming five wickets for 52 runs. His spell put Haryana under considerable pressure, with the visitors struggling at 191 for five by lunch.

Musheer is the younger brother of India international cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, who represents Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
