Lucknow, Oct 28 (HS): With the aim of making the daily prayer
meetings in the schools of Uttar Pradesh more effective, elegant, inspiring and
cultured, a special video compilation of 13 musical prayer songs has been
prepared by the State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET). In a grand
program organized at SIET Auditorium, Nishantganj (Lucknow) on Wednesday,
Additional Chief Secretary Basic and Secondary Education Partha Sarathi Sen
Sharma formally released this video compilation, made under the direction of
SIET Director Dr. Mukesh Chandra Agarwal.
On this occasion, the Additional Chief Secretary stated that
these inspirational prayers will not be limited to government or council
schools, but all government, aided, and private schools in the state will be
able to use them free of charge in their daily prayer meetings. However, any
commercial use of these videos will be strictly prohibited.
Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma said that prayer meetings are not
merely a formal routine, but rather a cornerstone of students' all-round
personality development. Through these songs, the seeds of discipline,
coexistence, sensitivity, positive thinking, moral values, social harmony, and
patriotism can be easily sown in the new generation.
Under the project Compilation of 13 Timeless Prayer
Songs, separate videos of 13 selected inspirational prayer songs have
been created. These include: Hum Honge Kamyaab, Itni Shakti
Hume Dena Daata, Humko Man Ki Shakti Dena, Paad Hai
Baadal Pe, Te Hai Teri Hai Zameen Te Aasman, O Lord, we are your
servants, You are our parents, you are our mothers and
fathers, Show us children the path of justice, Come
children, let us show you a glimpse of India, Tread on the path of
righteousness, Keep lighting light from light, and Keep
us under your protection. Each song is approximately two to four minutes
long, perfectly suited for prayer gatherings. To make these prayer songs both
child-friendly and effective, the videos incorporate high-quality audio
recordings, captivating visuals, animations, and a creative school-like
setting, making them extremely useful in smart classrooms and schools equipped
with digital screens.
A special feature of this compilation is that its choir
(chords) features melodious voices from students and dedicated teachers from
schools run by the Uttar Pradesh government. The video was produced by the
technical team at SIET in coordination with the Department of Basic and
Secondary Education. This content will be made available to all schools through
the Department of Education's official online portal, YouTube, WhatsApp, and
other social media handles.
Prior to the launch, Dr. Mukesh Chandra Agarwal, Director of
SIET, presented details of the institute's annual action plan and upcoming
initiatives. He explained that under the Educational Media Initiative 2026-27,
class-wise educational videos are being created through PM e-Vidya DTH
channels. Micro-learning videos are also being created for classes nine through
twelve to simplify complex scientific and mathematical concepts through short
videos. Under the podcast series, teaching innovations and experiments of
outstanding teachers who have received national and state teacher awards will
be broadcast through podcasts, providing inspiration to other teachers.
Furthermore, under the Career and Stress Management initiative, special digital
content is being developed for students' career guidance, skill development,
