New Delhi, 28 October (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the Congress on Wednesday after the party failed to win a single seat in elections to 28 Legislative Council seats across Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Karnataka.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister said, “Elections were held for 28 Legislative Council seats across four major states—Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Karnataka. The elections were conducted using ballot papers. Can you guess how many seats the Congress won?”

PM Modi’s remarks came amid continuing questions raised by opposition parties over the credibility of electronic voting machines (EVMs). Referring specifically to the elections conducted through ballot papers, the Prime Minister questioned the Congress’s performance in the polls.
