Mumbai, 28 October (H.S.): Actor Kartik Aaryan is reportedly being considered for the lead role in filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming film ‘Operation Sindoor’. However, the makers have yet to officially confirm his association with the project.
Agnihotri announced the film in March this year. It is based on Lieutenant General K. J. S. ‘Tiny’ Dhillon’s book, ‘Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan’.
According to reports, Aaryan is currently occupied with director Shimit Amin’s film ‘Captain India’, which is set against the backdrop of the Houthi conflict in Yemen. Once he completes filming for the project, the actor is expected to begin preparations for ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The film would mark Aaryan’s first collaboration with Agnihotri, who is known for directing films such as ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Vaccine War’. The project is being jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Agnihotri’s I Am Buddha Productions.
Agnihotri has said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ will go beyond the conventional framework of a patriotic film or action drama. The filmmakers are conducting extensive research to portray the events as realistically as possible. The narrative will be set against the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror attack and the Indian armed forces’ subsequent military response.
The film is expected to focus on events surrounding Operation Sindoor, conducted between May 6 and 10, 2025. Further details regarding the cast and other aspects of the project are awaited, while audiences look forward to an official announcement confirming Aaryan’s involvement.
