Non-government aided schools recognised as 'single unit’; prescribed rules of reservation apply only at school level
Like advertisement number 01/2022 and 02/2022, advertisement issued with complete transparency and purity
Candidates should be cautious of misleading propaganda on social media; govt also clarified situation on 'e-Gyan Ganga-UP'
Lucknow, Oct 27 (HS): The Commission has taken serious cognizance of the rumours and misleading propaganda being spread on social media regarding the recruitment for 17,735 posts of Assistant Teacher (Trained Graduate - TGT) in non-government aided secondary schools by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj. Dr. Prashant Kumar, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has clarified that the reservation system for the advertised posts has been implemented in a completely transparent manner as per the established rules and prescribed system of the government. The propaganda being done by some unwanted elements and organizations on social media and various platforms regarding reservation is baseless and misleading.
The Directorate of Secondary Education identified and compiled school-wise, subject-wise, and category/reservation-wise vacant posts from various non-government-aided schools operating in the state's districts and provided the Commission with a requisition. Non-government-aided secondary schools in Uttar Pradesh are recognized as a single unit, and the school's management is the appointing authority. Therefore, due to the school's status as a single unit, the category-wise reservation of posts is determined school-wise based on the number of sanctioned posts in each school, as per the prevailing reservation rules. This reservation does not apply to the consolidated number of posts at the entire state or at the Directorate level. Under the same rules and legal framework, the recruitment process for Advertisement Nos. 01/2022 and 02/2022 was previously conducted by the Commission in recent months, in accordance with the government's wishes, with complete integrity, fairness, and in accordance with the prescribed provisions.
Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar stated that the government has also clarified the factual situation in this regard on its official social media handle, E-Gyan Ganga-UP. He appealed to teacher candidates and the general public across the state not to believe misleading information and rumours being spread on social media or through any unauthorized source, nor to share or forward such baseless posts. For authorized and authentic information related to the recruitment process, rely only on the Commission's official website.
