Pune, 27 Oct (HS): The frequently delayed Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar

Metro Rail route III, in Pune is likely to start on November 3. Prime Minister

Narandra Modi will flag off the Metro in virtual mode, in the presence of Chief

Minister Devendra Fadnavis in person. A senior officer indicated the

inauguration, within two days after the Code of Conduct for the Legislative

Council elections.

A meeting of Pune Metropolitan Region Development

Authority (PMRDA) was held on Monday to review the preparation. The authorities

fixed November 3 as probable date for its inauguration. The 23 km raised metro route

has 23 stations. Out of the 23, work on 17 stations have been completed.. The

Metro is expected to be inaugurated before the completion of the remaining work.
