Raipur, 27 October (H.S.):

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched raids in Chhattisgarh’s capital, Raipur, and in Durg early Tuesday morning. A team of the central investigative agency reached Sushil Villa, a bungalow in the Ravi Nagar area of Pandri in Raipur, where a detailed examination of documents and financial records has been underway since morning. A substantial security presence has been deployed outside the property.

ED officials are examining computers, digital evidence and documents related to financial transactions. According to official corporate records, entities including Lata Greenfields LLP and Lata Agrifield and Produces LLP are registered at the address of Sushil Villa in Ravi Nagar, Pandri. Information has also emerged about an ED raid in Durg.

The agency has not yet officially disclosed the case in connection with which the searches are being conducted. The identities of those under investigation and the findings, if any, have also not been clarified. Further details regarding the operation are awaited.
