Mumbai, 26 October (H.S.): Actor Yash, who portrays Ravana in the upcoming epic film ‘Ramayana’, is set to play a significant role behind the scenes as well, with his production banner, Monster Mind Creations, taking responsibility for the film’s theatrical distribution in Karnataka.
Yash, who is associated with the ambitious project as a co-producer alongside Namit Malhotra, is expanding his company’s operations into film distribution. The move marks an important step in the growth of Monster Mind Creations, extending its involvement beyond production to the film’s release in a key regional market.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being developed as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. Mounted on a grand scale, the film aims to bring the timeless story to the big screen through an expansive production and a prominent ensemble cast. Yash’s portrayal of Ravana has further heightened interest in the project.
The film’s distribution responsibilities have been divided across domestic and international territories. Sony Pictures will oversee international distribution, while Dharma Productions will handle its release across North India’s Hindi-speaking markets. Dil Raju will manage distribution in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while Monster Mind Creations will take charge in Karnataka.
In Tamil Nadu, Think Studios will handle the release, while E4 Entertainment, led by Mukesh Mehta, will oversee distribution in Kerala.
‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026. The Karnataka distribution arrangement adds another dimension to Yash’s involvement in the project, positioning his company as both a production partner and a key player in the film’s regional theatrical rollout.
