New Delhi, 26 October (H.S.): Northern Railway will conduct Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5.0 from November 1 to 30 to facilitate pensioners and family pensioners. The campaign, being organised in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare and the Railway Board, will include special camps across all divisions and various workshops under Northern Railway.

The initiative aims to simplify and streamline the process of submitting life certificates for pensioners. Through the Digital Life Certificate facility, railway pensioners will be able to generate and submit their life certificates from anywhere in the country without having to visit a pension office.

According to Northern Railway, pensioners can submit their digital life certificates using facial authentication technology on any Android or iOS device. The facility is expected to spare them the inconvenience of visiting banks and standing in long queues to submit their life certificates.

Northern Railway has reported encouraging results from Digital Life Certificate camps organised over the past two financial years. Building on this experience, the railway administration is once again encouraging pensioners to make the fullest possible use of the digital facility this year.

Northern Railway has appealed to all railway pensioners and family pensioners to take advantage of the initiative during the campaign period and ensure that their life certificates are submitted within the prescribed deadline, without waiting until the last date.
