Sribhumi (Assam), 26 October (HS): Police have detained four accused in connection with the alleged attack on a Bihu troupe in Assam’s Sribhumi district. The accused, identified as Sumit Kumar Das, Arnab Kumar Roy, Priyanshu Pal and Priyanshu Das, were detained by police late at night.

The police have launched an intensive interrogation of the four accused to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident and establish their alleged involvement in the attack.

The incident has drawn attention, with Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma directing the Director General of Police (DGP) to conduct an investigation into the attack on the Bihu troupe. Further action is expected based on the findings of the police investigation.-----------
