In a shocking incident of brutality and public humiliation, a young man and his father were allegedly assaulted and forced to walk naked on the streets of Sarsuna in Kolkata's Behala area following a dispute over a romantic relationship.

The violence erupted on Sunday night when the family of a teenage girl, reportedly a minor, spotted her with the young man. Objecting to their relationship, the girl’s family members intercepted the youth and began assaulting him. When a friend attempted to intervene and rescue the boy, he was also severely beaten by the group.

The situation escalated when the attackers issued threats and forced the youth to summon his father to the location. Upon his arrival, the father was also subjected to physical abuse. According to the victims' statements, the girl's family presented the father with a horrifying ultimatum: he must either shoot his son with a firearm they brandished, attack him with a sharp-edged weapon, or both father and son must strip and walk naked on the street.

To save their lives, the father and son were forced to walk naked for approximately 500 meters. The attackers reportedly filmed the entire ordeal and threatened to make the video viral on social media, leaving local residents stunned by the barbaric display of vigilantism in the city.

Acting on the complaint, the local police have detained three individuals, identified as the girl's parents and her maternal uncle. However, the assaulted youth alleged that a total of six people were directly involved in the attack. Police authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects.
