Kolkata, 26 October (H.S.) : Senior West Bengal BJP leader Samik Bhattacharya launched a scathing attack on the Congress, strongly condemning party president Mallikarjun Kharge's recent remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late father.
Addressing the media in Kolkata on Monday, Bhattacharya claimed that such statements expose the extreme political degradation of the opposition party. The Congress no longer exists as a political party; rather, it has turned into a parasite, he stated.
Calling Prime Minister Modi the most popular leader globally, Bhattacharya recalled that the Congress had previously targeted him with the 'Maut Ka Saudagar' (Merchant of Death) jibe, to which the citizens delivered a fitting electoral reply. He asserted that the people of India will once again use the ballot box to give an appropriate response to the derogatory comments directed at the Prime Minister's family.
