Jammu, 25 October (H.S.): Continuing its drive against illegal mining, J&K Police Kathua has seized a total of 42 vehicles i.e 31 Dumpers & 02 Tractor Trolley in the jurisdictional area of P/S Kathua, 03 Tractor trolleys in the jurisdictional area of PS Billawar,01 Tractor trolley in the jurisdiction of PS Hiranagar & 01 Dumper in the jurisdictional area of PS Bani & 04 Tractor Trolleys in the Jurisdiction of PS Lakhanpur which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction material (Without A Form).

In the first instance, On 23/10/2026 police teams of PS Kathua during patrolling duty at Bhagthalli, Hatli & Kathua seized total 33 vehicles i.e 31 Dumpers and 02 tractor trolleys which were loaded with construction material without any valid permission.

Moreover, in the second instance police team of PS Billawar also seized three Tractor Trolleys without any Registration Number indulged in illegal transportation of mining material(sand) without any legal permission at Billawar area.

In addition,One dumper bearing registration no PB02FK 7337 was seized by PS Bani & One tractor trolley without registration number was seized by Police Station Hiranagar for carrying minerals in violation of A Form. Furthermore,

police team of PS Lakhanpur also seized 04 Tractor Trolleys without any Registration Number indulged in illegal transportation of mining material without any legal permission at Lakhanpur area.

The above-mentioned 42 vehicles( 32 Dumpers and 10 Tractor Trolley) have been seized by @Kathua Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Kathua for further legal action.
