Lucknow, 23 Oct (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath and Union Minister of State for Science and Technology (Independent
Charge) Jitendra Singh on Friday inaugurated the two-day 'Sadhana Series' under
Mission Karmayogi by lighting a lamp at Lok Bhavan. Speaking on the occasion,
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that citizens' problems must be resolved in
a timely manner. The purpose of public service is fulfilled only when citizens
receive timely solutions. The Chief Minister said that technology can speed up
governance, but it is the spirit of service of employees that makes us
accountable to citizens. Only when the administrative system is efficient, sensitive,
and responsive does the benefit of government schemes reach the lowest rung of
society, and the commitment to good governance is realized in the form of
public welfare.
Yogi said that artificial intelligence, data analytics, and
digital technology are rapidly transforming the face of governance. We must be
prepared to equip our public servants to adapt to these changes. Transforming
the work culture of public service must become part of a national campaign for
all of us.
In the program organized in Lucknow for the launch of the
Northern Regional Workshop 'Sadhana Series' on the transformation of training
institutions of 12 states/Union Territories under Mission Karmayogi, with the
Honorable Union Minister of State @DrJitendraSingh
ji, UP CM said, “India
has the largest road network, the largest rail network, and the largest air
connectivity network in Uttar Pradesh. Over the past nine and a half years,
housing has been provided to 65 lakh poor people, toilets to more than 3 crore
families, and the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana
(PMGKAY) to more than 15 crore people.
We can confidently say that the benefits of every scheme
have reached every poor person with honesty. Transformation in the work culture
of public service should be a part of a national campaign for all of us. Artificial
intelligence, data analytics, and digital technology are rapidly transforming
the nature of governance. We must be prepared to empower our public servants to
adapt to these changes.”
The Chief Minister said that to build a developed India, the
capabilities of Gram Panchayat personnel will also have to be enhanced. Yogi
Adityanath said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the
double-engine government is giving a new direction to the country's administrative
work culture through initiatives like Mission Karmayogi. In keeping with the
spirit of minimum government, maximum governance, Karmayogi Uttar Pradesh is
fully committed to playing its leading role in building a developed India by
realizing the resolve of Antyodaya.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is a state
blessed by nature and God. Yet, for a long time, Uttar Pradesh remained
impoverished and yearned for its identity. He said that potential existed here,
but the political will to transform it into achievements was lacking. A festive
state was transformed into a riot-ridden one. Under Modi's leadership, work has
progressed in Uttar Pradesh. The state's GDP has tripled. In the last nine and
a half years, 6.5 million poor people have been provided with housing, over 30
million families with toilets, and over 150 million people have been provided
with the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. We can
confidently say that the benefits of every scheme have reached every poor
person with honesty. Uttar Pradesh boasts India's largest road network, largest
rail network, and largest air connectivity network.
“Today, in the esteemed presence of the Hon'ble Union
Minister of State (Independent Charge) @DrJitendraSingh ji, the Northern
Regional Workshop 'Sadhana Series' was inaugurated in Lucknow on the
transformation of training institutions of 12 states/Union Territories under
Mission Karmayogi, organized jointly by the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Uttar Pradesh
Institute of Administration and Management and the Capacity Building
Commission, Government of India. At the same time, the UNNATI Capability Index
and the National Curriculum Design Framework were also launched. States that
secured first, second, and third positions in the country for training of
government personnel, as well as departments of Uttar Pradesh that performed
better in various categories under Mission Karmayogi, were honored. For
building a 'Viksit Bharat', along with better policies, a capable, sensitive,
and results-oriented administration that implements them effectively is also
essential. This is the resolve of Mission Karmayogi and the foundation of Uttar
Pradesh's transformation journey as well. Best wishes for the successful
organization of the workshop,” mentioned UP CM in a post on X.
