ED Conducts Raids at Mega Millennium Premises in Probe into Suspected Financial Irregularities and Money Laundering

New Delhi, October 23 (H.S.): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a major operation against Mega Millennium Private Limited in connection with alleged financial irregularities and money laundering, conducting simultaneous searches at multiple locations in Mumbai, Delhi and Karjat in Maharashtra.

According to sources, the searches are being carried out at approximately six locations, including the company’s offices in Delhi and Mumbai, the residences of its directors and a farmhouse in Karjat, Maharashtra. A substantial quantity of foreign currency, Indian currency and valuables is reportedly being recovered during the operation.

At the centre of the investigation is Harish Dedhia, a prominent Mumbai-based businessman and consultant. According to the investigation, Harish Dedhia and his wife, Dhara Dedhia, hold key directorial positions in companies associated with the group.

Investigators have reportedly found evidence suggesting that Harish Dedhia allegedly established several shell companies by using his own employees and other individuals acting as proxies. Notably, within a year of their incorporation, these entities allegedly received substantial amounts of foreign currency from suspicious overseas entities based in Dubai and Singapore.

The funds were reportedly routed through a network of shell companies in an alleged attempt to conceal their actual source and obscure the trail of financial transactions.

The ED’s search operation is currently underway. Further action against other individuals suspected of being linked to the alleged network is possible, depending on the documents and evidence recovered during the searches.
