Kolkata, 23 October (H.S.) :
West Bengal is expected to experience predominantly clear and dry weather conditions on Friday. Across most parts of the state, bright sunshine is anticipated throughout the day, with maximum temperatures likely hovering around 31 to 32 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures settling near 22 degrees Celsius. However, meteorological officials noted that slight variations in temperature and cloud cover may occur across different districts depending on localized geographical and atmospheric conditions.
The probability of rainfall remains minimal across Kolkata and the majority of South Bengal districts. Regions including Howrah, Hooghly, Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, and both the North and South 24 Parganas are forecast to remain predominantly dry. Meanwhile, the western districts of the state, such as Bankura, Purulia, Paschim Bardhaman, and Birbhum, might experience relatively warmer daytime conditions due to uninterrupted, direct sunshine.
A similar dry weather pattern is projected for the northern districts of the state, encompassing Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, and Malda. Although the plains will largely remain sunny, the upper hilly regions might witness partly cloudy skies owing to local topographical factors. According to the latest weather forecast, surface winds are expected to remain light, with overall humidity levels hovering around 60 percent. While the daytime might feel slightly warm, the weather during the early morning and late night hours is expected to remain comparatively pleasant. Currently, there are no immediate indications of any widespread rainfall activity across the state.
