Mumbai, October 23 (H.S.): The makers of Kalki 2898 AD 2 have marked actor Prabhas’s birthday with a special treat for fans, unveiling a video from the film’s sets that offers a glimpse of the actor reprising his role as Bhairava.

The behind-the-scenes footage has heightened anticipation for the sequel, with fans eager to see the return of the character. Extending birthday wishes to Prabhas, the makers described him as a superhero of Indian cinema and a beloved star across generations.

In the released video, Prabhas is seen on the film’s sets, where director Nag Ashwin appears to be guiding him through a scene. The footage offers a brief glimpse into the filming process and provides fans with an early look at the production of the much-anticipated sequel.

Prabhas’s portrayal of Bhairava in Kalki 2898 AD won considerable appreciation from audiences, particularly for the character’s distinctive style, action sequences and swagger. His return in the sequel has consequently raised expectations among fans. However, the filmmakers have kept the storyline and other details of the upcoming film under wraps.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD was released in 2024 and featured Prabhas alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles.
