Hyderabad, 22 October (H.S.): Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu has asked Congress leaders and workers to intensify preparations for the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar Graduates' MLC elections, with particular emphasis on enrolling eligible voters in the erstwhile Rangareddy district.
At a party meeting in Shamshabad on Thursday, Sridhar Babu expressed confidence in the Congress victory and urged cadres to work towards securing a strong mandate from the district. He said the party's immediate priority should be to ensure that all eligible graduates were registered to vote.
The minister called for special enrolment campaigns across villages, municipalities and wards, directing party workers to reach out to graduate voters at the booth level. He stressed that voter registration required coordinated efforts from leaders and grassroots workers.
He also asked cadres to take the government's welfare and development programmes to the electorate while highlighting what he described as the failures of the BRS and BJP. Calling for unity within the organisation, Sridhar Babu urged old and new leaders to put aside differences and coordinate their efforts ahead of the polls.
