New Delhi, October 22 (H.S.): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress, describing the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha as a “part-time politician and full-time traveller”. Questioning Gandhi’s reported visit to Vietnam while the INDIA bloc prepares to hold a rally at Ramlila Maidan, Chouhan said that Rahul Gandhi was “a problem, not a solution”.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Shivraj Singh Chouhan targeted the Opposition, alleging that a “regime change gang” was harbouring ambitious dreams of coming to power by creating disorder. He asserted that the issue extended beyond the pursuit of political power to the future of the country.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, 1.4 billion Indians were working towards building a developed and self-reliant India. He maintained that the Opposition’s alleged designs to capture power would never succeed.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan also invoked the 1984 anti-Sikh violence to criticise the Congress. Recalling the horrific events of that period, he said the country could never forget the killings of Sikh men and women and the atrocities in which victims were set on fire. He argued that, instead of organising rallies, the Congress should apologise to the nation for those events.

Questioning the Opposition’s political approach, the Union Minister reiterated that the fundamental issue facing the country was not merely who held power, but the collective commitment to building a developed and self-reliant India. He said that, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country’s 1.4 billion people were moving forward with a shared resolve to contribute to nation-building.

‘The Country Celebrates Festivals, but Rahul Travels Abroad’

Taking another swipe at Rahul Gandhi over his foreign visits, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that while the country celebrates festivals such as Dussehra with enthusiasm and joy, the Congress leader chooses to travel abroad.

Questioning Gandhi’s political approach, he said the country needed leaders who could offer solutions to its problems rather than merely highlight them. Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged Gandhi not to remain a source of problems but to demonstrate that he could also provide solutions.
